As a player - many times we start a map, sell everything, and then place down our favorite silos, productions, etc and in some way... forget that there was an author at some point who had a vision! If you go onto a map like Hof Bergmann where the author intends you to do all of the farm tasks very manually, but you ignore that and just super-strength and autoload everything... in some way, you're missing the point by choosing to play your own way instead of how the author indended you to play.

Start in New Farmer mode, use the starting equipment and starting fields. The goal is to build up to a fully working farm within 5 years the way the map author intended. The difficulty of this challenge is entirely dependent on the map chosen, how that map's starter farm is setup, and what the starting equipment is.

• Must use only productions, buildings, silos, etc as they are placed on the map.

  • No demolishing or placing new items

  • Exception: if the map includes custom placeables, and space to place said placeables you may use / add those.

• Fields must remain as is - no merging or creating fields

• Cannot sell starting farmland, but can buy any new farmland as long as purchased farmland abuts any of the starting land

  • Alternate: if you don't want to start on the new farmer starting farm, but to instead use another pre-placed farm on the map, you can sell the starting farm / fields to move your desired starting location, but only within the sale price of the original starting farm.

• Must use only starting equip for first full year. If there is no harvester, no harvesting!

  • After first year, you can add, upgrade or replace as needed.

  • Must use starter equip as intended - example: if there's a telehandler & bucket, you must use the telehandler for it's intended purpose.

  • Player Correction - a single piece of starter equipment may be exchanged with another type of equipment of equal or lesser value to fill in a single “gap” that the author “may not have intended”; you only get one swap, use it wisely.

  • Bonus: limit new equipment purchases to either starting equipment brands, regionally accurate brands, and/or the listed dealership brand(s)

• No leased equipment in use on main farm for first year; Borrowing for contracts is allowed any time.

• No use of mod-assists if those assists can be done with starter equip

  • Example: no super strength for loading pallets or UAL if a loader of some kind is included in starter equipment. Be a good farmer, use the loader!

• No loans, no generators (if not already on map)

• Must use Precision Farming if author included a custom soil map, otherwise it's user's choice

• All other settings are up to the player - play with the default New Farmer settings, or make it harder if you want.

• Must fill to capacity any animal pens included on starting land, or on any purchased land

• Must grow & harvest any custom crop included with the map at least once

• Must buy & use any custom production included on the map, and fill the spawn point at least once with each recipe

  • Bonus: do the same for ALL productions included on the map
